I attended my first photo walk with a few local photographers from the area. The photo walk is the creation of Scott Kelby, the president and co-founder of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals. He created this social event as a means for photographers to meet up, take photos, and discuss the art of photography. Along the way photographers get to make new friends, and share their style of photography and learn from one another.
I never attended this event in the past, but I certainly knew about Scott Kelby and his passion for photography and education. I met the walk leader for the Nashua event, Celeste Guidice, at her photo studio, and she told me about the event and invited me to attend. She also leads a photoshop meetup group, which has a large following.
We couldn’t ask for a more beautiful day. The location chosen for the photo walk was through Nashua’s historical district. We started our expedition at the top of Main Street at the Soldiers and Sailors Civil War Memorial.
A great time was had by all. The highlight was a lovely couple we met who gave us a little history about their home, which was built in the eighteen hundreds.
I focused on getting close up detail shots. I have photographed this part of town quite often. It’s always fun to see and shoot new things one might have missed the first time.
Enjoy your upcoming week everyone!
